Living can be healthy for the vigilant:
India's new use for cow urine
MMMM. Why didn't we think of it before? How could we have missed the lip-smacking allure of a drink made from cow's pee?
A Hindu group in India is planning to launch a new soft drink made from cow's urine, something often seen as sacred in parts of India.
The group, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, believes the drink will be far better for Indians than Pepsi or Coke which it sees as a corrupting influence and a tool of western imperialism.
Cow's urine also has medicinal properties and is a cure for diabetes, the group claims.
The group is currently experimenting with different flavourings such as aloe vera and gooseberry - presumably to make it drinkable.
Certainly gives whole new meaning to the term moo juice.
